Knife crime, antisocial behaviour, and violence are destroying the lives of too many people across the UK today.
Young people are particularly affected by these destructive behaviours. However, there is reason for hope. Across the country, grassroots youth organisations are innovating - developing effective interventions and turning lives around.
By supporting young people to develop healthy relationships, these local pockets of excellence are making a real difference in towns and cities across the UK.
The National Network for Teenage Relationships (NNTR) is finding these examples of best practice and bringing them together so that they can support one another, share best practice, and become greater than the sum of their parts.
For far too long, amazing local organisations working across the UK have been isolated, unappreciated, and in danger from dramatic cuts to funding as a result of austerity measures. These are the organisations who can and do enhance the life prospects of many thousands of young people. By finding and connecting these small, innovative and effective groups, the NNTR will help them to work more effectively together, bringing leadership to an under-invested youth sector.
